Blogging Date to Diarise

It’s a red letter day: June 15, 2011 – at least for bloggers, and more specifically those who would like to grow their readership and maximize their marketing efforts.

Our wonderful friend Michelle Salater, who has grown her own (Copy Doodle) and other blogs to phenomenal levels of success, is hosting a free webinar on June 15, 2011 at 1pm ET / 10am PT or 7pm here in Johannesburg.

With Copy Doodle recently listed #17 on Technorati’s 100 Best Small Business Blogs, Michelle is well qualified to advise. We have also witnessed the growth of the elite Hills of Africa Travel blog, which she has developed and manages for another special friend of ours, Sandy Salle, CEO. One of the powerful things, among others, that Michelle achieves is to attract media and key influencers via the blogs.

Don’t miss this exceptional opportunity to learn from her first hand via her free webinar, which you can sign up for here: How to Increase Profits and Exposure with a Business Blog. During the webinar, you’ll get an exclusive sneak peek of Love Your Blog, her “new step-by-step system that will show you how to create a business blog that pulls prospects into your sales funnel, saving you time, money, and headaches”.

Despite mine being to date a personal blog, Michelle inspires me to explore improving it, if only to share photography and ideas with a wider audience. I’ll be joining her for sure to find out more, so please stay tuned for something fresh soon 🙂

P.S. While photographing our lovely friend Juanita in our studio, Jina hopped up and settled on the laptop – in her favourite position, right across the touch pad 😀

P.P.S. Just in case you’re wondering how the screen is so legible and clear of reflected light, it’s with the help of a little Photoshop magic (sorry, purists ;-)). Of course, I had to select the WordPress sign up page, being such a big fan of this fabulous platform!

    The price is right. 😉

Love when people share their expertise for FREE.

  5. Michelle says:

Thanks, Naomi, for sharing this info! And Lance…great to see you posting here and glad you’ll be on the webinar. Wow, it really is a small world, isn’t it?

    Best, Michelle

I’ll gladly join the crew. Like you, the purpose of my blog is other than money making, but I like the idea of picking up some good tips for better blogging.

BTW -I dreamed about you last night. We were all at a Fair-like activity with people from all over the world. You were deeply worried about a matter…so I hope I was not picking up anything about you specifically. Would love a confirmation that all is well.

  7. Naomi says:

It’ll be cool to know you’re with us, Amy 🙂

What a precious person you are, caring so much – and taking the time to say so. All is indeed well, but I’ll email you tomorrow with a fuller update. Big hug and kiss in the meantime, XO

  8. Tammy McLeod says:

So cool. I hope that I can join in on this fun. I’d love to learn more about effective blogging.

    • Naomi says:

Me too, Tammy…it’ll be great if you can join us, and we can all witness each others blogs going from strength to strength 🙂

  9. Wow, that sounds really great, Naomi! I take it you know her personally? You know in August it will be 1 year since I started blogging and I’m still having fun with it. Maybe it’s time we both kicked it up a notch!

    • Naomi says:

OMG, Lin, how time flies! Congrats on how dynamic your blogging journey has already been. I’m right with you on kicking it up a notch 😀

Dave and I have spent fantastic times with Sandy Salle since doing all the photographic and video documentation of their exclusive Soul Safari to South Africa in October 2009. This has led to a magic online relationship as well, and introduced us to Michelle soon after the safari. Because she manages the Hills of Africa Travel blog, we’ve collaborated on many posts together (for that and other travel blogs), sharing much of Dave’s wildlife photography too. Knowing what amazing people and really great friends Sandy and Michelle are, witnessing their wonderfully win-win approach to life, as well as the success they are both achieving through blogging, I have full faith in Michelle’s Love Your Blog program.

…and now I’m excited to see what you do with The Worst Mother!! XO

  10. I’ll try, but I’m crazy at the moment so I don’t know if my brain will co-operate

    • Naomi says:

I’m sure you’ll enjoy it if you get there, Sidey, but we don’t want to see smoke coming out of your ears! Hope things calm down to a gentle trot soon & that you have a wonderfully relaxing weekend 😀

  11. Oooh, Naomi, thanks for the tip!

  12. Tokeloshe says:

    Jina is beautiful !

  13. I’ll be forwarding this info on to a friend of mine who is hoping to set up a business via a blog… thanks for sharing Naomi 😀 xx

  14. Artswebshow says:

There are many ways but the two best are distinctly different.
Much better to be a social blogger and not rely on search engines for traffic.
    The rewards can be great.
I’ll bet she will have lots of useful tips

  15. I found it hard to find the place to comment on your recent Love Your Blog Post. Thanks for posting a comment on my page about it. I did sign up for Michelle’s webinar and found it helpful and interesting. I wouldn’t have known about it if you hadn’t mentioned it on my blog so THANKS!

    • Naomi says:

Pleasure, Aimee – glad it was useful! Sorry for the hassle in commenting here, and thanks for letting me know. I’ll look into it.
